How do I report when funding went towards an event?

How to measure investments to activities such as fundraisers, galas, and other events

At times, donors are contributing to support a specific event such as a gala, dinner, or other fundraiser intended to raise money for social investment activities. In these circumstances, we ask that you create a social impact report focused on the specific programs supported by the fundraiser or gala rather than the one-off event itself. If the funds go to more than one program, you can either create a report for each program supported by the fundraiser or gala, or create an organization-level report.
The reason for this approach is because your report should ultimately represent the end impacts of your programming.  You’ll want to include outcomes and budgets for the program at large and not just a portion funded through a grant. From there, True Impact will do the work to attribute a portion of the outcomes to your funder based on the percentage of what they have funded. Focus on your full impact story and we will do the rest!
