How to allocate an investment to multiple reports

Investments can be allocated across multiple reports. To do so, follow these steps:

  1. First, determine if creating multiple reports makes the most sense for the investment: Consider if the funding went towards more than one program with unique end beneficiaries, if so, you will want to create a report for each specific program.
  2. Log into your True Impact account
  3. Review the “Investments to be allocated” section of the report builder. You will see the investment from your funder and the amount of funding provided. Click “Accept and Allocate”
  4. Click “Confirm Investment”
  5. Select how you would like to allocate the investment. You can apply the investment in three ways:
    1. To existing reports: If your multiple new reports already exist, select this option and click all the reports you want to split the investment between
    2. To a clone of an existing report (this allows you to create a new report by copying a past report): If your multiple reports exist from previous years and you want to clone them, select this option and click all of the reports you want to clone
    3. To a brand new report: If creating all new reports, select this option and enter in your program name and then click “Add Another Program or Initiative” and add as many additional programs you want to split the investment between
  6. Once all reports are selected, click "allocate to selected reports"
  7. Split the investment amount between the reports you added and select an investment type for all. Make sure the total between all reports adds up to the investment total
  8. Click “Apply investment”
  9. Now you are ready to begin building your social impact reports
