Providing An Interim Update

What are interim updates?

If your donor requests an interim update, you will be prompted to submit an interim update at the midpoint of your reporting cycle. Interim updates are an opportunity to revisit your initial projections and make any adjustments to those forecasts based on where your program stands. Think of it as a check-in, not a progress report on what you've accomplished so far, but a chance to refine your projected outcomes if anything has changed since you first submitted.

Changes during this stage are optional. If your original forecast still holds, you can move through the steps without making any edits and resubmit it as is. You will still be able to provide final updates at the end of your program.

How to submit your interim update:

  1. Log into your True Impact account
  2. Under the To Do tab, click the “Update” button beside your social impact report awaiting interim updates
  3. Click "Update Interim Report"
  4. Work through each section, clicking "Save & Continue" as you go to save your edits within each section
    1. To edit a report section, “make changes” or proceed without edits if your figures remain the same
  5. Add an optional progress note to briefly summarize your program's progress and highlight any midpoint successes or challenges
  6. Resubmit your report

Once submitted, you'll receive a confirmation. You'll return at the end of your program to submit your final results.
