I Received Feedback on My Report, What Do I Do?
Receiving feedback on your report is a normal part of the process. It means there are suggestions to help strengthen your report before it is published.
Where to find your feedback Log in to your partner platform and navigate to the Impact Reporting section. Your report should appear with a to-do indicating feedback is waiting. Click in to review the comments.
How to respond to feedback Review each comment and either make the suggested edits or add a note explaining your response. Once you have addressed a comment, mark it as resolved. When all feedback has been resolved, you can self-publish your report.
Common feedback themes
- Report is not at the program level: Your report appears to cover the full organization rather than a specific program. Review your description, impact model, and budget and focus them on one program.
- Data quality: A number of your outcomes are marked as Guesses. Review whether you can substantiate any of them with estimates or direct measurement.
- Budget is outside typical ranges: Your reported costs look significantly higher or lower than comparable programs. Review your budget to make sure it is complete and accurate, and add a note if your program has unusual costs.
- Impact model is very long: Consider whether all of your indicators are essential to your impact story. A focused model with strong data is more effective than a comprehensive model with weak data behind each indicator.
