Common Questions About the Impact Reporting Network
Who will see my report once it is submitted?
Reports created through a partner platform are automatically made public and shared across the Impact Reporting Network. This means your report may be visible to donors and funders who use partner platforms to find and evaluate organizations. Your report includes your program description, the people you serve, your outcomes and measurement approach, your location, and your total program costs. Donor-specific funding details are never included.
Is participating required?
This depends on your partner platform. In most cases, participation is not mandatory, but completing a report means your organization has the opportunity to be discovered, evaluated, and supported by funders through the Network. Check with your partner platform if you are unsure about their specific requirements.
Can I edit my report after submitting?
This depends on the partner platform. Some platforms lock reports for a period of time after submission before allowing edits. Check with your partner platform for their specific policy. If you need to make a change and are unsure how to proceed, contact us at impactreportsupport@trueimpact.com.
Can multiple team members work on the report at once?
Yes. Multiple users can access and edit the same report. Keep in mind that the builder is sequential so some sections are dependent on earlier ones being completed first. If two people are editing the same section at the same time, the most recent save will take effect, so coordinate to avoid overwriting each other's work.
Can I save my progress and come back later?
Yes. Your progress is saved automatically as you work through the builder. You can return to your report at any time through your partner platform.
What if I want to stop the process or remove my report?
If you have started a report and would like it removed, contact us at impactreportsupport@trueimpact.com with your organization name and we can assist.
What if my program does not fit the available models or options? T
The builder is designed to work across a wide range of program types, but we know it is not a perfect fit for every organization. If you are stuck, choose the closest available option and use the description and notes fields to add context. You can also reach us at
